MOST WANTED

Last update: 17/06/2026

The following list are games that I know existed at some point but I haven't found anywhere, online or physical. Because of this I have decided to not place these games in the database. If you can help me with this I will not only be happy but also, if you want, I promise to upload this to Archive.org as it is probably a super obscure to find game. These titles are of my personal interest, I'm not trying to have every fighting game ever or something like that (there's a sea of 2DFM95/2nd games that are lost and I'm not interested).

Bishōjo Senshi Sailor V for Windows 95
美少女戦士セーラーV for Windows 95
DK Software Kaihatsu - Windows - 1996

DK Software, one of the pioneers of the doujin fighting game scene, made the Sailor V series of fangames. As the name suggest those games are based on the Sailor Moon/Sailor V franchise. Starting in 1993 as one of the very first of it's type, the group developed three titles for the Sharp X68000 computer series. The last version released on X68000, Bishōjo Senshi Sailor V Final, works on emulators.

In 1996 DK Software jumped to Windows 95 and released this version of the game, for the first time outside X68000. It has 9 characters instead of the "Final" version of X68000 that has 13. The game was sold at Comiket on floppy disk. An update called "Ayanami Plus" was released with Rei Ayanami from Neon Genesis Evangelion as a new playable character exclusively for this Windows version.

The X68000 titles are very easy to find and emulate (all the games are now part of the Software List of MAME so they are pretty much preserved), but I haven't found this version anywhere and there's no videos, not even on Nico Nico Douga. The source of the pictures of the floppy boxes are from Surugaya.

The very first Calendar Party game
カレンダーパーティー
Mugendai - Windows - Before 2001?

Calendar Party is a series of supposedly "four" freeware doujin fighting games made by the circle group Mugendai. The second one, Calendar Party 2, was uploaded on Famitsu on September of 2001. The latest game, Calendar Party ~4season~, was released in July of 2011.

Calendar Party 2, 3 and 4 are well documented, has a website and were available for download at Famitsu. Now the last two games are available on Freem.

There is absolutely no info about the very first game: it is not acknowledge anywhere on the official website, there's no Famitsu or Freem download site, there's no screenshots or videos anywhere. Nothing. I tried to contact the dev on Twitter but there was no reply.

Considering the third game is called Calendar Rave maybe it has another name? I need more info about this because right know I can't even confirm it ever existed, so it's out of the database for now.

Estimated Process
Rainy Cloudy - Windows - 2004

A freeware 2D Fighter Maker 2nd game made by the doujin group Rainy Cloudy, based on a visual novel of the same name, also made by the same dev, that seems that was never released but I'm not totally sure.

According to FightersFrontLine the game was released in January 1 2004 and had a pretty decent reception on the doujin scene at the time. Has 12 characters and a system called "Process Combo" that "not only deals damage, but also grants various additional effects such as recovering your own life gauge and reducing the opponent's gauge".

The official website of the game is still up but sadly the download link is dead and was not saved by Archive.org. Later the same dev made another fighting game called Floating Pallet, also based on a visual novel, that can be downloaded and it's preserved. The dev is active on social media but it seems that is not interested in uploading the game again (which is weird, because the website still receives updates as for 2026 yet the download link is still down).

If you have this game please contact me.

Lost "Famicom Runners High" games
Most of these freeware doujin games by the circle Famicom Runners High (or also known as 影慶 which I still don't know how to read it and online translators haven't convinced me yet) were made in 2D Fighter Maker 95 in mid 2000s. The website was saved by Archive.org but not the games or the official subdomains.

Those games are:

- Chinto (珍闘) - Translated as "Strange Fight".
- Dairantou Ai Hachi Shisutazu (大乱闘アイ八シスターズ) - Translated as "Big War Aihachi Sisters" or "Big War Eight Sisters of Love".
- Fūga Machi・Hǎn Retsu Budō Taikai (風雅町・喊烈武道大会) - Translated as "Fuga Town: Bold Martial Arts Tournament".

No screenshots of those games exist. Dairantou Ai Hachi Shisutazu at least has the subdomain saved by Archive.org but the download link is completely dead. I added this particular game to the database because at least I can confirm that game exist. This group has another fighting game called Blader Crisis that was lost for a long time until it was rescued around 2021 by a chinese group and now it's moderately easy to find. Any info about those games will be appreciated.

Gakgae Gyeokpa
각개 겹파
Marixon - MS-DOS - february 1994

A 1v1 2D fighting game made by the korean company Marixon for MS-DOS. Screenshots are from that legendary HG101 article about korean videogames and seems they were taken from a magazine. The article says that "Given the fact that their games aren't remembered well at all and unpreserved, most were probably very minor releases even compared to the average Korean game back then".

I haven't found nothing else, including the game itself. I've searched on various korean retro gaming sites and the only info I found is that the game "existed" and that's pretty much it. Someone at HG101 forums was trying to find the game since 2015 and nothing happened ever since. Any new info or a download link would be very valuable, because right now the game seems that is lost.

On a side note, the game is on the Fight-a-Base as Gaggae Gyeobpa but maybe this was a bad or "alternative" hangul read. I personally contacted one of the database admins to check that.

Guilty Gear RoA
ギルティギア ロア
Arc System Works - Mobile (FOMA 902i, 901i, 900i) - 06/12/2006

A very obscure Guilty Gear game released for mobile phones and exclusive for the Guilty Gear Club members in Japan. Seems like of a port of the original Guilty Gear game for PS1 that added the characters Es-Watt and Es-Lord from Guilty Gear Overture.

Official website was saved by Archive.org. Screenshots are from this article at Game WATCH and there's an article at the Guilty Gear's Fandom wiki.

I haven't found the game anywhere and there's no video footage.

The full version of The Hero (also known as Fighter: Waiting for a Hero)
파이터: 영웅을 기다리며
Mirinae Software - MS-DOS - 1995
Screenshots from the Demo version

In 1995 a South Korean company called Mirinae Software released the 2D fighting game The Hero, a game that is also known as Fighter: Waiting for a Hero for MS-DOS. It's a generic 1v1 fighter with two buttons, slightly inspired in the classic chinese fighting game Sango Fighter.

The full game was released on physical media but it seems this version is completely lost. The only way to play this game now is via the demo that is moderately easy to find on Abandonware sites. It's obviously just a demo because it has eight characters on the "player select" screen but only two are available to play. According to korean sources like Ruliweb the full game is still lost in time even to this day, 30 years later. Any info about the full game would be really nice.

The J.F.K. tetralogy of Samurai based 2D Fighter Maker 2nd games
J.F.K. - Windows - 2005/2006

Between the years 2005 and 2006 the doujin soft group J.F.K. released four fighting games made in the 2D Fighter Maker 2nd engine. These games are in chronological order:

- Ninja Bugei-den (忍者武芸伝) - Translated as "Ninja Martial Arts". Released in 05/08/14
- Ninja Bugei-den Kariudo(忍者武芸伝・狩人) - Translated as "Ninja Martial Arts: Hunters". Released in 05/12/30
- Shiraha Ibun-roku (白刃異聞録) - Translated as "The Tale of the White Blade". Released in 06/08/15
- Chi to Rimen-shi (血斗裏面史) - Translated as "The Inside Story of the Bloodbath". Released in 06/12/31

The source of this cronology is the doujin circle website. These games has characters from very old mangas from the sixties and seventies, with some well known examples like Dororo, Otokogumi or Abare Tendo. The first game is the vanilla one, and Chi to Rimen-shi was the last and most updated version.

I haven't found any of these games anywere. They exist, they were all sold on CD-Rs and Surugaya confirmed it but they are all out of stock. The only way to legally got these games was on the Comiket at the day of release. It seems the first game even had a physical CD-R "Demo" that sounds like the most impossible thing to find ever made.

The only places I've found info about these titles are on the group official website, this Blog talking about the first game and a random Blog post with the only direct screenshot I've found.

Absolutely any new information of those games will be appreciated.

Metal Soul
Bujin - Windows - Unknown release date

A 1v1 2D fighting game with mechas made in 2D Fighter Maker 2nd. The screenshots are from 2D Kakutou Tsukuru Kojintekina Matome@wiki. According to the wiki, the developer is Bujin, the same of Tail Concerto Battle that is not that hard to find. The official website is dead but it was saved by Archive.org. The problem is that I've checked every corner of the website and I haven't found any mention of the game, and no download links anywhere.

PerFight
Hi-WORLD Laboratory - Windows - 08/11/2002

Hi-WORLD Laboratory, a doujin circle that developed Loot Poring made a 3D fighting game based on Tsukihime. I haven't found it anywhere. The official website is still up with the game confirmed as released in 2002 but there's no contact e-mail or social media link. Kind of frustrating because the dev is still very active on his/her website. Any info or at least a way to contact him/her would be appreciated.

Rakuen Musoutan
楽園夢想譚
Yukigasa - Windows - 2010/03/17

A freeware 2D Fighter Maker 2nd game made by a single developer identified as Yukigasa. Original characters, yet some of the UI and aesthetics feels pretty inspired in Touhou Project.

The website is still up but the Vector download link is dead, it was NOT saved by Archive.org and the dev deleted his/her Pixiv account. Also has an official BBS with someone already asking what happened with the game in English, with no reply. Looks pretty cute, and sadly I haven't found it anywhere. Any info would be appreciated yet I have a feeling this is one of those cases where the developer probably wants to erase their existence from the internet, so it could be a sensitive issue... maybe.

The screenshots are from 2D Kakutou Tsukuru Kojintekina Matome@wiki, that also has a dead Vector link.

Red Stone - The Unlimited Red Arena-
Red Stone Akaki Ishi ni Tsudoi Shishatachi Kaihatsu Team - Windows - 2014/02/"29"

Character select screen from the supposedly latest patch

Release day ad

Okay, this is real weird stuff: Red Stone is a South Korean MMORPG developed by L&K Logic that has a dedicated fanbase in Japan. When I was researching about the japanese Doujin fighting fangame Red Stone -divine design- I found some websites talking about -another- doujin fighting game based on Red Stone with the name of Red Stone -The Unlimited Red Arena-.

The game has an official website that is still online and according to this blog the game was released on February 29, 2014. The funny thing is that February ended at 28, it was not a leap year. The website has screenshots from the character select screen and the versus screen but there's not a single image of in-game matches. According to another blog that has much more info there is, supposedly, an update patch for December of that year called ver0.1259 and has a list of changes. It also shows a screenshot of the character select screen that looks totally different to the official website.

There's zero screenshots or videos about the game. I tried my best and found absolutely nothing. I also tried to contact one of the devs via Twitter but I had no reply. Is this a cancelled game? or an internal joke? (I mean, the so called "screenshots" looks fake and cropped with weird resolutions). I was not interested at first but there's way too much detailed info about the latest patch so I'm very curious about finding if this was real or not.

By the way, the game is also mentioned as Red Stone -Akaki Ishi ni Tsudoi Shishatachi- (RED STONE -赤き意志に集いし者たち-), if you want to search more about it.

Silent Princess
サイレント・プリンセス
Side-Pony - Windows - 2004/08/15

Screenshots from the official website

Screenshots from FightersFrontLine

A Doujin 1v1 2D fighter made in 2D Fighter Maker 2nd by the circle Side-Pony. The game has an entry on FightersFrontLine that describes the title as "a game were all the characters that appear are silent and quiet female heroines". A demo of the game was released in 2004 on CD with two characters: Mai Kawasumi from Kanon and Rena Yaezaki from Rimlet.

According to FightersFrontLine and some comments on 2ch the demo had a very positive reception because of its "high speed and polished gameplay". Also they announced that Saber from Fate/stay Night was coming in the future.

The game was abandoned and the full version was never released. For YEARS I've tried to find an ISO of this demo without success, and finding the CD has been impossible (I haven't even been able to find it in stores like Surugaya). Also, there's no video footage. Any info about this would be greatly appreciated.

Tenchi Hanran
天地反乱
Genesis2 - Windows - 1998

A 2D Fighter Maker 95 game released for free in 1998, made by the group Genesis2.

What is truly outstanding about this game is the 3D prerender characters, which looks pretty decent and that's super ambitious for a 1998 doujin game. I'm not 100% sure of this but by reading the official website it seems that this game was developed in order to "help" to spread the interest of 2D Fighter Maker 95. Also, it seems that the game had a commercial release on CD at some point with extra characters.

The website is no longer up but Archive.org made a backup. Sadly the download link was NOT saved by Archive.org and I've tried to find this for years. If you have it please contact me. Screenshots are from 2D Kakutou Tsukuru Kojinteki na Matome@wiki

The first three "The Spirit Fighters" games
IS-Soft - Windows - Before 1999

According to the official website of IS-Soft (saved by Archive.org) the game The Spirit Fighters '99: 2nd Impact is the fourth entry and three games were released before 1999. I haven't found any info about those games, not even the names. They should exist, so if you know something please contact me.

Waga Lariat Shojo-saku
わがラリアッ党処女作
Run-liatto - Windows - second half of the nineties

Translated as "Run-liatto First Work". A 2D Fighter Maker 95 game, the very first made by talented dotart artist Run-liatto of Dai Ni Tsugi Comic Taisen and Comic Taisen EW fame when he was a student. The game was distributed in the late nineties somewhere.

According to the dev own words at the oldest copy of his website at Archive.org: "I remember it being available before the homepage was created. Even the person in question has no data". This is the only screenshot available, and the dev deleted any info about this game in later updates of his website. Probably lost in time forever, but you never know.
